KatchTV is an "Internet TV" application for KDE.
It makes it easy to subscribe to "TV" channels
from all over the Internet in the form of
podcasts, so that you can browse channels,
download shows, and watch them, all from one
convenient interface. It is very similar to
Democracy TV, but focuses on KDE integration,
using KHTMLPart and embedded players such as
kaffeine. It's much faster and lighter on
resources if you run a KDE desktop without GTK
apps. Installation is easy as long as your
distribution has PyKDE and PyQt.

Position is a GNUstep GPS navigator. It requires a
GPS receiver that knows the NMEA protocol.

smallX is a subset of the X Window System for Linux on Intel machines that will run on a system with as little as 4 megs of ram memory. The hard disk foot print is about 3 megs. This package includes rxvt (a reduced version of xterm) and a small window manager (wm2).

Apollo is an open-source developer test skeleton toolkit for Java Web Start/JNLP. It lets you turbo-charge Web Start apps without Web Start to speed up your compile/run/test/debug/goof-off cycle, avoiding the hassle of stuffing, signing, uploading, or downloading your jars every time you rearrange a comma in your source code.

GTK VNC Viewer is a script that provides a GUI for
connecting to VNC servers. It remembers the
credentials of known servers, so connecting to a
VNC server is just one double-click away. Servers
are shown in an icon view.

wmUpMon is a dockapp for WindowMaker and
compatible WMs that displays your system uptime.
It is based on wmMemLoad.

xoris grabs the RGB color value of any pixel on
the screen and dumps the color's name to stdout.
The output can be printed either as hex (#b0958e),
as a triple of decimal RGB values (229 229 229),
or as an abstract name (gray90). xoris has only
been tested on displays with a bit depth of 24
bpp.

Simply GNUstep (Prometheus) is a Linux/GNU distribution aimed at providing a OpenStep feeling right from the initial bootup. To enhance ease of use, this distribution is more stripped down than most. It is based upon its own source tree, not on any other Linux distribution.

SyncEvolution synchronizes personal information management (PIM) data like contacts, calenders, tasks, and memos via the SyncML information synchronization standard. SyncEvolution compiled for GNOME's Evolution supports all of these data items. Compiled for Nokia 770/N800/N810 Internet Tablets, Mac OS X, and the iPhone, it supports synchronizing the system address book. The command line tool 'syncevolution' (compiled separately for each of these platforms) executes the synchronization.

Gmencoder is a GNOME 2 frontend to mencoder. It
supports three output codecs for video (lavcodec, rawrgb, and copy) and three for audio (lame, PCM, and copy). It support postprocesing, cropping, scale, subtitles ripping, and multiple encoding passes.

Hirudo is a Java Swing application for leeching
Web content. It features a multipurpose workspace where links can be extracted from a URL, manipulated, and filtered. The workspace can also be used to generate filename ranges. Other features include editable Referer and User Agent headers, a reliable download manager, and comprehensive user preferences.

gnome-applets is a collection of many applets for your GNOME panel. It includes clocks, load monitors, little toys, and more.
