Whenever i resize a TeraTerm window, the window is cleared. Actually the old contents are scrolled up a number of lines to make them invisible. Most of the time this is not convenient (e.g. your looking at a logfile, notice the lines are too long for the window, make the window a bit wider and suddenly everything is gone). I suggest the following: after a resize just leave the old contents where it is. If the window has become too wide for the old lines, do nothing. If the window has become too narrow for the old lines, also do nothing. More or less just like it is now, but skip the scrolling up to clear the window. Possibly make this a configuration item, then everybody is happy.

Resolution

Change "Setup"-"Clear display when window resized" setting to "off". Its default value is "on."

To keep this setting, "Save"-"Save setup."

If your remote host sends clear sequence by the term-size change notify from Tera Term, it is difficult to control this behavior.

I think it is necessary to ascertain who commands clear window, Tera Term or remote host.

Hmm, I don't think the host sends a clear sequence, it also happens with Busybox linux which is very basic. How can i check what is received and sent by TeraTerm? Is there an extra debug log feature for that? I'm using TCP/IP, by the way.

File-Log can save binary log from remote host.

Our team will support resize without redraw in the future.

We added this feature in Tera Term 4.65. Please upgrade to 4.65 and turn off the "Clear display when window resized" setting.

New to TeraTerm (4.65), so I'm not sure if this change is the cause, but I think this feature needs to be better implemented. When I make the window smaller, it clips the content to the new resized area, and not just the current view but the whole buffer. So if the window was 80 char wide, and you make it 30 characters wide, anything that was right of the 30 characters mark is lost.

The view/output, after being rendered, should not be modified. If you resize the window, you only see a subset of the view, but if you make it bigger, you see again. There could be a horizontal scrollbar option that a user can toggle, if wants to see whats off the screen to the right/left. I prefer to be no horizontal bar, but I'm sure someone will request one, so a toggle would be good. In SecureCRT , this is the behaviour, where the view stays. If you make it smaller, you just can't see it, but if you make the window larger again, etc., its still there.

Sorry, I meant to say, in the beginning, that it clips the width of the view to the new resized area.
