Memchan is an extension library to the script language Tcl, as created by John Ousterhout. It provides two new channel types for in-memory channels and the appropriate commands for their creation. They are useful to transfer large amounts of data between procedures or interpreters, and additionally provide an easy interface to on-the-fly generation of code too. No need to set or append to a string, just do a simple puts.

Autoplot is an interactive browser for data on the Web. Give Autoplot a URL or a local file name and it creates a sensible plot of the data. Autoplot allows you to interactively browse data stored in ASCII, .cdf, netcdf, and many other formats. Autoplot was developed under the NASA Virtual Observatories for Heliophysics program in a collaborative effort among several institutions.

Filesystem Backup is a utility which displays local mounted filesystems, and based on a tape size one defines, can group filesystems and backup them up efficiently using the maximum tape space. It also writes a log of each backup, which you can read to restore files.

Hogwash is a layer 2 packet scrubber based on the snort signature engine. Hogwash sits in line, and drops packets based on signature matches. The rule set will be familiar to anyone that has used snort before. Hogwash supports passive host identification and adaptive rule sets for added accuracy.

Alba-Experiment is an implementation of Gentoo
over Solaris or Portage for Solaris. This is not a
simple package management system, but has the
ambition to transform a Solaris system to a full
GNU-based development, build, and desktop
environment.

xP provides an intuitive, high quality, graphical (X11) user interface to the University of Washington's PINE Messaging System. xP aims to provide an interface that is welcoming and easy to use for the new user, while still retaining the look, feel and key commands of PINE for the experienced user.

Build Folio generates Web pages that lets the user
navigate a set of files and directories. It is
very good at generating thumbnailed indexes of
directories containing a lot of images. The way
the Web pages are generated can be controlled via
configuration files. The program is built as a
Perl 5 script which by default calls the Tk
package to provide a graphical front end.
Originally developed on a PC running Windows, it
should be able to run anywhere.

MailFeeder is a tool that was designed to inject a
mailpack back into an MTA such as Sendmail or Postfix
using socket calls. Originally developed to allow
projects like Inflex to send emails back into Postfix via
a high port, it is also useful for scripting SMTP load
testing.

EnderUNIX Vpwd2SQL is a tool written in PERL that
is used to convert '/etc/shadow
or /etc/master.passwd' accounts to vpopmail
accounts.

Globule is a module for the Apache Web server that
allows a given server to replicate its documents
to other Globule servers. Clients are
automatically redirected to one of the available
replicas.
